Revocation of your consent to data processing

Many data processing operations are only possible with your express consent. You can revoke any consent you have already given at any time. The legality of the data processing carried out until the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.

IF DATA PROCESSING IS BASED ON ART. 6 PAR. 1 LIT. E OR F OF THE GDPR, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO OBJECT TO THE PROCESSING OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA AT ANY TIME FOR REASONS ARISING FROM YOUR PARTICULAR SITUATION; THIS ALSO APPLIES TO PROFILING BASED ON THESE PROVISIONS. IF YOU OBJECT, YOUR PERSONAL DATA WILL NO LONGER BE USED FOR DIRECT MARKETING PURPOSES (OBJECTION PURSUANT TO ART. 21(2) GDPR).

Right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority

In the event of violations of the GDPR, data subjects have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of their habitual residence, place of work, or place of the alleged violation. The right to lodge a complaint exists without prejudice to other administrative or judicial remedies.

Right to data portability

You have the right to have data that we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in fulfillment of a contract handed over to you or to a third party in a common, machine-readable format. If you request the direct transfer of the data to another controller, this will only be done if it is technically feasible.

SSL or TLS encryption

This site uses SSL or TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or inquiries that you send to us as the site operator. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from "http://" to "https://" and by the lock symbol in your browser line.

When SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

Encrypted payment transactions on this website

If, after concluding a contract subject to a fee, you are required to provide us with your payment details (e.g., account number for direct debit authorization), this data is required for payment processing.

Payments made using standard payment methods (Visa/MasterCard, direct debit) are processed exclusively via an encrypted SSL or TLS connection. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from "http://" to "https://" and by the lock symbol in your browser line.

With encrypted communication, your payment details that you send to us cannot be read by third parties.

Information, deletion, and correction

You can contact us at any time at the address given in the legal notice if you have any further questions on the subject of personal data.

Right to restriction of processing

You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data. To do so, you can contact us at any time at the address given in the legal notice. The right to restriction of processing applies in the following cases:

If you dispute the accuracy of your personal data stored by us, we will generally need time to verify this. For the duration of the verification process, you have the right to request that the processing of your personal data be restricted.

If the processing of your personal data was/is unlawful, you can request the restriction of data processing instead of deletion.

If we no longer need your personal data, but you need it to exercise, defend, or assert legal claims, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data instead of its deletion.

If you have lodged an objection pursuant to Art. 21 (1) GDPR, a balance must be struck between your interests and ours. As long as it is not yet clear whose interests prevail, you have the right to request that the processing of your personal data be restricted.

If you have restricted the processing of your personal data, this data may—apart from its storage—only be processed with your consent or for the assertion, exercise, or defense of legal claims or for the protection of the rights of another natural or legal person or for reasons of important public interest of the European Union or a Member State.

Our websites use so-called "cookies." Cookies are small text files and do not cause any damage to your device. They are either stored temporarily for the duration of a session (session cookies) or permanently (permanent cookies) on your device. Session cookies are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Permanent cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them yourself or your web browser automatically deletes them.

In some cases, cookies from third-party companies may also be stored on your device when you visit our website (third-party cookies). These enable us or you to use certain services provided by the third-party company (e.g., cookies for processing payment services).

Cookies have various functions. Many cookies are technically necessary, as certain website functions would not work without them (e.g., the shopping cart function or the display of videos). Other cookies are used to evaluate user behavior or display advertising.

Cookies that are required to carry out the electronic communication process (necessary cookies) or to provide certain functions requested by you (functional cookies, e.g., for the shopping cart function) or to optimize the website (e.g., cookies for measuring the web audience) are stored on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR, unless another legal basis is specified. The website operator has a legitimate interest in storing cookies for the technically error-free and optimized provision of its services. If consent to the storage of cookies has been requested, the storage of the relevant cookies is based exclusively on this consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR); consent can be revoked at any time.

You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general, and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. If you deactivate cookies, the functionality of this website may be restricted.

If cookies from third-party companies or for analysis purposes are used, we will inform you separately in this privacy policy and, if necessary, ask for your consent.

This technology is provided by Borlabs – Benjamin A. Bornschein, Georg-Wilhelm-Str. 17, 21107 Hamburg (hereinafter referred to as Borlabs).

When you visit our website, a Borlabs cookie is stored in your browser, which stores the consents you have given or the revocation of these consents. This data is not passed on to the provider of Borlabs Cookie.

The collected data will be stored until you request us to delete it, delete the Borlabs cookie yourself, or the purpose for data storage no longer applies. Mandatory legal retention periods remain unaffected. Details on data processing by Borlabs Cookie can be found at https://de.borlabs.io/kb/welche-daten-speichert-borlabs-cookie/.

Borlabs cookie consent technology is used to obtain the legally required consent for the use of cookies. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR.

contact form

If you send us inquiries via the contact form, your details from the inquiry form, including the contact details you provided there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the inquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We will not pass on this data without your consent.

This data is processed on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR, provided that your request is related to the performance of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective processing of inquiries addressed to us (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR), if this has been requested.

The data you enter in the contact form will remain with us until you request us to delete it, revoke your consent to its storage, or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g., after your request has been processed). However, WhatsApp does have access to metadata generated during the communication process (e.g., sender, recipient, and time). We would also like to point out that, according to its own statements, WhatsApp shares its users' personal data with its parent company Facebook, which is based in the USA. Further details on data processing can be found in WhatsApp's privacy policy at: https://www.whatsapp.com/legal/#privacy-policy.

We use WhatsApp based on our legitimate interest in communicating with customers, interested parties, and other business and contractual partners as quickly and effectively as possible (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). Mandatory legal provisions—in particular retention periods—remain unaffected.

We use WhatsApp in the "WhatsApp Business" version.

We have configured our WhatsApp accounts so that they do not automatically synchronize data with the address book on the smartphones in use.

We have entered into a data processing agreement with WhatsApp.

This website uses functions of the web analytics service Google Analytics. The provider is Google Ireland Limited ("Google"), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

Google Analytics enables the website operator to analyze the behavior of website visitors. The website operator receives various usage data, such as page views, length of stay, operating systems used, and the origin of the user. This data may be summarized by Google in a profile that is assigned to the respective user or their end device.

Google Analytics uses technologies that enable user recognition for the purpose of analyzing user behavior (e.g., cookies or device fingerprinting). The information collected by Google about the use of this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

The use of this analysis tool is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analyzing user behavior in order to optimize both its website and its advertising. If consent has been requested (e.g., consent to store cookies), processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR; consent can be revoked at any time.

IP anonymization

We have activated the IP anonymization function on this website. This means that your IP address will be truncated by Google within member states of the European Union or in other signatory states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area before being transmitted to the USA. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity, and to provide other services related to website activity and internet usage to the website operator. Demographic characteristics in Google Analytics

This website uses the "demographic characteristics" feature of Google Analytics to display relevant advertisements to website visitors within the Google advertising network. This allows reports to be generated that contain information about the age, gender, and interests of website visitors. This data comes from interest-based advertising by Google and visitor data from third-party providers. This data cannot be attributed to any specific individual. You can disable this feature at any time via the ad settings in your Google account or generally prohibit the collection of your data by Google Analytics as described in the section "Objection to data collection."

Google Analytics e-commerce tracking

This website uses the "e-commerce tracking" feature of Google Analytics. With the help of e-commerce tracking, the website operator can analyze the purchasing behavior of website visitors in order to improve its online marketing campaigns. This involves collecting information such as orders placed, average order values, shipping costs, and the time from viewing to purchasing a product. This data can be summarized by Google under a transaction ID that is assigned to the respective user or their device.

storage period

Data stored by Google at user and event level that is linked to cookies, user IDs (e.g., user ID) or advertising IDs (e.g., DoubleClick cookies, Android advertising ID) is anonymized or deleted after 14 months. For details, please see the following link: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/7667196?hl=de

Furthermore, targeted advertisements can be displayed based on user data available to Google (e.g., location data and interests) (target group targeting). As website operators, we can evaluate this data quantitatively, for example by analyzing which search terms led to our ads being displayed and how many ads led to corresponding clicks.

The use of Google Ads is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in marketing its services and products as effectively as possible.

Google AdSense

This website uses Google AdSense, a service for integrating advertisements. The provider is Google Ireland Limited ("Google"), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

With the help of Google Adsense, we can display targeted advertisements from third-party companies on our website. The content of the advertisements is based on your interests, which Google determines based on your previous user behavior. Furthermore, contextual information such as your location, the content of the website you are visiting, or the Google search terms you have entered are also taken into account when selecting the appropriate advertisement.

Google AdSense uses cookies, web beacons (invisible graphics), and similar recognition technologies. These enable information such as visitor traffic on these pages to be evaluated.

The information collected by Google Adsense about the use of this website (including your IP address) and the delivery of advertising formats is transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. This information may be passed on by Google to Google's contractual partners. However, Google will not merge your IP address with other data stored about you.

The use of AdSense is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in marketing its website as effectively as possible. If consent has been requested, processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR; consent can be revoked at any time.

Google Remarketing analyzes your user behavior on our website (e.g., clicks on certain products) in order to classify you into specific advertising target groups and then display appropriate advertising messages to you when you visit other online offerings (remarketing or retargeting).

Furthermore, the advertising target groups created with Google Remarketing can be linked to Google's cross-device functions. This allows interest-based, personalized advertising messages that have been tailored to you based on your previous usage and surfing behavior on one device (e.g., cell phone) to also be displayed on another of your devices (e.g., tablet or PC).

If you have a Google account, you can opt out of personalized advertising at the following link: https://www.google.com/settings/ads/onweb/.

The use of Google Remarketing is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in marketing its products as effectively as possible. If consent has been requested, processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR; consent can be revoked at any time.

Further information and the privacy policy can be found in Google's privacy policy at: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads?hl=de.

Target group formation with customer matching

To create target groups, we use Google Remarketing customer matching, among other things. In doing so, we transfer certain customer data (e.g., email addresses) from our customer lists to Google. If the customers in question are Google users and are logged into their Google account, they will be shown relevant advertising messages within the Google network (e.g., on YouTube, Gmail, or in the search engine).

Google Conversion Tracking

This website uses Google Conversion Tracking. The provider is Google Ireland Limited ("Google"), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

With the help of Google Conversion Tracking, Google and we can recognize whether the user has performed certain actions. For example, we can evaluate which buttons on our website are clicked how often and which products are viewed or purchased particularly frequently. This information is used to create conversion statistics. We learn the total number of users who clicked on our ads and what actions they took. We do not receive any information that allows us to personally identify the user. Google itself uses cookies or similar recognition technologies for identification.

The use of Google Conversion Tracking is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit.

For more information about Google Conversion Tracking, please refer to Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de.

Facebook Pixel

This website uses Facebook visitor action pixels to measure conversions. This service is provided by Facebook Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland. However, according to Facebook, the data collected is also transferred to the US and other third countries.

This allows the behavior of website visitors to be tracked after they have been redirected to the provider's website by clicking on a Facebook advertisement. This allows the effectiveness of Facebook advertisements to be evaluated for statistical and market research purposes and future advertising measures to be optimized.

The data collected is anonymous to us as the operator of this website; we cannot draw any conclusions about the identity of users. However, the data is stored and processed by Facebook, so that a connection to the respective user profile is possible and Facebook can use the data for its own advertising purposes in accordance with the Facebook Data Use Policy. This enables Facebook to place advertisements on Facebook pages and outside of Facebook. As the website operator, we have no influence on this use of the data.

The use of Facebook pixels is based on Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in effective advertising measures, including social media. If corresponding consent has been requested (e.g., consent to the storage of cookies), processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR; consent can be revoked at any time.

You can find further information on protecting your privacy in Facebook's privacy policy: https://de-de.facebook.com/about/privacy/.

You can also disable the "Custom Audiences" remarketing feature in the ad settings section at https://www.facebook.com/ads/preferences/?entry_product=ad_settings_screen. To do this, you must be logged in to Facebook.

If you do not have a Facebook account, you can disable usage-based advertising from Facebook on the European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance website: http://www.youronlinechoices.com/de/praferenzmanagement/.

LinkedIn Insight Day

This website uses LinkedIn's Insight tag. This service is provided by LinkedIn Corporation, 2029 Stierlin Court, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

Data processing by LinkedIn Insight Tag

With the help of LinkedIn Insight Tags, we receive information about visitors to our website. If a website visitor is registered with LinkedIn, we can analyze key professional data (e.g., career level, company size, country, location, industry, and job title) of our website visitors and thus better tailor our site to the respective target groups. Furthermore, with the help of LinkedIn Insight Tags, we can measure whether visitors to our websites make a purchase or perform another action (conversion measurement). Conversion measurement can also be carried out across devices (e.g., from PC to tablet). LinkedIn Insight Tag also offers a retargeting function that allows us to display targeted advertising to visitors to our website outside the website, whereby, according to LinkedIn, the advertising recipient is not identified.

LinkedIn itself also collects log files (URL, referrer URL, IP address, device and browser properties, and time of access). The IP addresses are shortened or (if they are used to reach LinkedIn members across devices) hashed (pseudonymized). The direct identifiers of LinkedIn members are deleted by LinkedIn after seven days. The remaining pseudonymized data is then deleted within 180 days.

As the website operator, we cannot assign the data collected by LinkedIn to specific individuals. LinkedIn will store the personal data collected from website visitors on its servers in the USA and use it for its own advertising purposes. For details, please refer to LinkedIn's privacy policy at https://www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy#choices-oblig.

legal basis

The use of LinkedIn Insight is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in effective advertising measures, including social media. If corresponding consent has been requested (e.g., consent to the storage of cookies), processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR; consent can be revoked at any time.

Objection to the use of LinkedIn Insight Tag

Opt out of LinkedIn's analysis of usage behavior and targeted advertising at the following link: https://www.linkedin.com/psettings/guest-controls/retargeting-opt-out.

Furthermore, LinkedIn members can control the use of their personal data for advertising purposes in their account settings. To prevent LinkedIn from linking data collected on our website to your LinkedIn account, you must log out of your LinkedIn account before visiting our website.

Conclusion of a contract for order processing

We have entered into a data processing agreement with LinkedIn.

Data analysis by Sendinblue

With the help of Sendinblue, we are able to analyze our newsletter campaigns. For example, we can see whether a newsletter message has been opened and which links have been clicked on. This allows us to determine which links have been clicked on particularly often, among other things.

We can also see whether certain predefined actions were performed after opening/clicking (conversion rate). For example, we can see whether you made a purchase after clicking on the newsletter.

Sendinblue also allows us to divide newsletter recipients into different categories ("clusters"). Newsletter recipients can be divided according to age, gender, or place of residence, for example. This allows us to better tailor the newsletter to the respective target groups.

YouTube with enhanced privacy settings

This website embeds videos from YouTube. The operator of the site is Google Ireland Limited ("Google"), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

We use YouTube in extended data protection mode. According to YouTube, this mode means that YouTube does not store any information about visitors to this website before they watch the video. However, the extended data protection mode does not necessarily prevent data from being passed on to YouTube partners. YouTube establishes a connection to the Google DoubleClick network regardless of whether you watch a video.

As soon as you start a YouTube video on this website, a connection to the YouTube servers is established. This tells the YouTube server which of our pages you have visited. If you are logged into your YouTube account, you enable YouTube to assign your surfing behavior directly to your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account.

Furthermore, YouTube may store various cookies on your device after you start a video or use comparable recognition technologies (e.g., device fingerprinting). This allows YouTube to obtain information about visitors to this website. This information is used, among other things, to collect video statistics, improve user-friendliness, and prevent fraud attempts.

After a YouTube video has been started, further data processing operations may be triggered over which we have no control.

YouTube is used in the interest of an appealing presentation of our online offerings. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. Own services

Handling applicant data

We offer you the opportunity to apply for a position with us (e.g., by email, post, or via our online application form). Below, we provide information about the scope, purpose, and use of your personal data collected during the application process. We assure you that the collection, processing, and use of your data will be carried out in accordance with applicable data protection law and all other legal provisions, and that your data will be treated as strictly confidential.

Scope and purpose of data collection

When you send us an application, we process your associated personal data (e.g., contact and communication data, application documents, notes taken during interviews, etc.) to the extent necessary to decide whether to establish an employment relationship. The legal basis for this is Section 26 of the new German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG-neu) (initiation of an employment relationship), Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR (general contract initiation) and – if you have given your consent – Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR. Consent can be revoked at any time. Your personal data will only be passed on within our company to persons who are involved in processing your application.

If your application is successful, the data you submit will be stored in our data processing systems for the purpose of implementing the employment relationship on the basis of Section 26 of the new German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG-neu) and Article 6(1)(b) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Data retention period

If we are unable to offer you a position, you decline a job offer, or you withdraw your application, we reserve the right to store the data you have provided on the basis of our legitimate interests (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR) for up to 6 months from the end of the application process (rejection or withdrawal of the application). The data will then be deleted and the physical application documents destroyed. The storage serves in particular for evidence purposes in the event of a legal dispute. If it is apparent that the data will be required after the expiry of the 6-month period (e.g. due to an impending or pending legal dispute), deletion will only take place when the purpose for further storage no longer applies.

Data may also be stored for longer if you have given your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) or if statutory retention obligations prevent deletion.

Admission to the applicant pool

If we do not offer you a position, we may add you to our applicant pool. If you are added to the pool, all documents and information from your application will be transferred to the applicant pool so that we can contact you if a suitable vacancy arises.

Inclusion in the applicant pool is based solely on your express consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). Consent is voluntary and is not related to the current application process. The data subject may revoke their consent at any time. In this case, the data will be irrevocably deleted from the applicant pool, provided that there are no legal reasons for retention.

The data from the applicant pool will be irrevocably deleted no later than two years after consent has been given.
